[PHOTOS] The Center for Social Development hosted a lunchtime event titled “Child Development and Policy: Insights from Jordan and Mongolia” on April 9 in the Brown Lounge at the Brown School.
The discussion featured two visiting scholars:
- Rasha Istaiteyeh, an associate professor of economics at the Hashemite University in Jordan, discussed her research and proposal for a Child Development Account policy in Jordan.
- Erdenechimeg Tserendorj, founding director of the Center for Social Work Excellence of Mongolia, presented research on the history, background and poverty-reducing effects of Mongolia’s Child Allowance policy.
Tammy Orahood, director of global programs at the Brown School, served as the respondent. Li Zou, international director at the Center for Social Development, moderated the session. Lunch was provided for attendees.
The event was sponsored by the Center for Social Development and the Brown School Global Programs Office.
